Majed Mustafa Khraishi, M.B., B. Ch., F.R.C.P. (C)

MKhraishiDr. Khraishi is a Clinical Professor of Medicine (Rheumatology) at Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN) and Medical Director (Rheumatology) at Nexus Clinical Research in St. John’s. Having graduated from Ain Shams University in Egypt, he did his Internal Medicine Residency at Memorial University of Newfoundland. After practicing as a general internist for two years, he did a Fellowship in Rheumatology at the University of Toronto. Since 1991 he has been a practicing Rheumatologist in St. John’s. In addition to his large clinical practice, he is also involved in medical education and clinical research. He spent a sabbatical at Stanford University in 1995-1996 researching the GI side effects of NSAIDs in RA. His main interests are the therapeutics of Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis and Osteoporosis and Psoriatic Arthritis, as well as Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. He has been involved as a principal investigator in over 60 pharmaceutical-sponsored therapeutic clinical studies (phase II, III, IV) in RA, OA, Osteoporosis, Psoriatic Arthritis and chronic pain. Many of these studies involved biological agents.
